About Us

The Loretto Hospital Foundation (LHF) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for Loretto Hospital. The LHF’s primary goal is to promote the hospital’s mission to provide quality patient-centered care while promoting wellness and education to the Austin and surrounding communities.

Established in June, 2000, the foundation is governed by a board of directors, which is comprised of a group of community leaders and business professionals who all serve on the board on a voluntary basis.

As the principal fundraising entity for Loretto, the LHF raises thousands of dollars each year for medical education, community outreach and to support various health screening programs. Since its inception, the LHF has purchased state-of-the-art clinical equipment such as a 64-Slice CT Scanner, stress echo cardiogram machines and wheelchairs; supported major structural improvements throughout the hospital; as well as helped to fund programs for diabetes and cancer screenings for residents in the Austin and neighboring communities.
